Wishes and truths.

The laughs. The uncontrollable laughs.
Giggle around the corner for an AIDS slide, for just drawing the tanned guy as a monkey.
The lunatic's laugh, the gentleman's laugh.
The guy-whose-stomach-always-aches-laugh.
The girl who believes in happy-endings-laugh.

Laughed. Laughed like I haven't laughed in years. Laughed like it is the end of the world. Laughed like there was no end to this world.

Just.
The laughs.
And. The end to a great day. :)

Little Princess.

"You know when you were a little kid and you believed in fairy tales?
That fantasy of what your life would be –white dress, prince charming who would carry you away to a castle on a hill. You’d lie in your bed at night and close your eyes and you had complete and utter faith.
Santa clause, the tooth fairy, prince charming –they were so close you could taste them. But eventually you grow up and one day you open your eyes and the fairy tale disappears.
Most people turn to the things and people they trust. But the thing is, it’s hard to let go of that fairy tale entirely because almost everyone has that smallest bit of faith and hope that one day they would open their eyes and it would all come true.
At the end of the day, faith is a funny thing.
It turns up when you don’t really expect it.
It’s like one day you realize that the fairy tale is slightly different than your dream.
The castle, well it may not be a castle. And it’s not so important that it’s happily ever after –just that it’s happy right now.
See, once in a while, once in a blue moon, people will surprise you.
And once in awhile, people may even take your breath away."

Friendship isn't a big thing. It's a million little things :)

The best feeling in the World is the feeling of being loved.

Yes, it is.
A single message expressing that love when you are in a cracked- state in a crowded room can make it the most interesting place ever to be inhabited.
On a lazy holiday afternoon, sitting with your friends and just talking about under-the-sun things, with them, giving this yes, I-like-you look and somehow radiate this I-will-be-with-you-forever look can make it the bestest afternoons ever.
In those really long mails, or those not-even-two-sentences mails, just the sense of being loved is all that matters. Thats what keeps us going.

But.
[Yes, Our lives revolve around "but" a lot these days. :P]
Expecting it is always your "way to hell".

Never expect, Just let it happen and feel. :)

Feel loved. :)

Lessons Learnt.

You know what college taught me?
It taught me how to not depend completely on the place you go to daily.
There is life beyond that. and before that.
You don't have to compulsorily spend your entire undivided attention there.
It taught me how to spend time with people i love and care about and realise their importance.
It showed me the negatives of thy people.
It gave me space {Although I din't need it. :P}

It bursted my bubble of thoughts and showed an entire new world. :)
Well, I appreciate that.
I learnt my lessons.

A new experience. :)

This Bengali-Telugu inter-caste marriage that I attended?
turned out to be a whole new experience.
The difference between those two religions and their uniqueness at the same time came crashing down on me when i was passing around those "Akshintalu" [yellow rice we use to Give blessings? Yeahh! THAT one.]
and then this Bengali Lady who took a few while i was passing it around nearly ATE them thinking that was some special kind of rice. I had to stand and explain them that this is used for giving blessings.
Its not elders always who teach stuff. :P
Then people who have known me since childhood actually realised that i had grown from a kid to a girl. :)
The rituals, the dances, the horn-blowing which is so famous in their culture. Everything. was new to me.
New people. New friends.
Again.
Life.
Thanks for a Thankful Thanksgiving.
